About the topic

We will be thinking about how prenatal experiences can impact our development and what some of the newer science shows about this. Also it is a chance to consider our own and our clients’ lives as foetuses and look back at experiences of the earliest stages of motherhood.

About Graham Music

Graham Music is a consultant child and adolescent psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre and an adult psychotherapist in private practice.

Formerly Associate Clinical Director of the Tavistock Clinic’s Child and Family Department, he now works clinically at the Portman as a forensic psychotherapist and his clinical experience has for decades been mainly with trauma.

He has developed and managed a range of services working with the aftermath of child maltreatment and neglect.

He supervises and teaches nationally and internationally and has a particular interest in linking cutting-edge developmental findings with therapeutic practice.

His publications include Nurturing Children: From Trauma to Hope (2019), Nurturing Natures (2016, 2010), Affect and Emotion (2001), The Good Life (2014) and Respark (2022), as well as co-editing From Trauma to Harming Others (2021). See more by visiting Graham Music’s website.

About our Pluralogues

For those new to this event, the Pluralogue is a space where we get together to both learn and socialise, meet some new colleagues and find out what others are up to.

The term ‘Pluralogue’ was coined by Doron many years ago, to depict moving beyond monologue to dialogue: to pluralogue (the conversation of many). We hope to learn together and from each other in the form of a learning community in a friendly atmosphere.

The added bonus is that we structure it as a CPD event so you will be able to count it as CPD hours (a CPD certificate will be provided as well).
