Public event

We are very excited to be able to invite you to this online Pluralogue CPD event celebrating Graham Music’s new book Respark – Igniting hope and joy after trauma and depression .

With: Graham Music

Date: Sunday 3 April 2022

Time: 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Venue: Online, using Zoom video conferencing

About the topic

In this event we will discuss how to understand and work with more shut-down states, such as those seen after trauma, neglect and learned helplessness.

We will discuss the relational impact not only of trauma, but also of emotional flatness and lack of energy, the variety of forms this can take, and how aliveness may return after it.

New science will be linked with clinical insights needed to shift people from ‘desparked’, lifeless, unenergised states – and think about how to reboot and respark emotional and bodily aliveness in our clients, and possibly in ourselves too!

The talk will use video clips and slides as well as clinical examples and there will be some opportunities for discussion.

About the Pluralogue

For those new to this event, the Pluralogue is a space where we get together to both learn and socialise, meet some new colleagues and find out what others are up to.

We coined the term ‘Pluralogue’ many years ago to depict moving beyond monologue to dialogue: to ‘pluralogue’ (the rich conversation of many). We hope to learn together and from each other in the form of a learning community in a friendly atmosphere of collaborative meaning-making.

The added bonus is that we structure it as a CPD event so you will be able to count it as CPD hours (a CPD certificate will be provided as well).
